First of all, we would like to inform you about your rights as a data subject. These rights are in art. 15 – 22 EU-DS-GVO standardized. This includes:

  • The right to information (Art. 15 EU-DS-GVO),
  • The right to erasure (Art. 17 EU-DS-GVO),
  • The right to rectification (Art. 16 EU-DS-GVO),
  • The right to data portability (Art. 20 EU GDPR),
  • The right to restriction of data processing (Art. 18 EU-DS-GVO),
  • The right to object to data processing (Art. 21 EU-DS-GVO).

Rights of objection

Please note the following in connection with the right to object:

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object to this data processing at any time without giving reasons.
This also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to direct advertising.
If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.
The objection is free of charge and can be made in any form, if possible to: datenschutz@sonima.net.
In the event that we process your data to protect legitimate interests, YOU can object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions.

We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

When processing your personal data, the provisions of the EU-DS-GVO, the BDSG and all other applicable data protection regulations are complied with. Legal bases for data processing result in particular from Art. 6 EU-DS-GVO.

Purposes and legal bases of data processing

We use your data to initiate business, to fulfill contractual and legal obligations, to carry out the contractual relationship, to offer products and services and to strengthen the customer relationship, which may also include analyses for marketing purposes and direct advertising.

Your consent also constitutes a permission requirement under data protection law. Here, we will inform you about the purposes of the data processing and about your right of revocation. If the consent also refers to the processing of special categories of personal data, we will expressly point this out to you in the consent.

Processing of special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9(1) EU-DS-GVO will only take place if this is required by legal provisions and there is no reason to assume that your legitimate interest in the exclusion of the processing outweighs this.

Disclosure to third parties

We will only pass on your data to third parties within the framework of the statutory provisions or with the corresponding consent. Otherwise, we will not disclose your data to third parties unless we are required to do so by mandatory legal provisions (disclosure to external bodies such as supervisory authorities or law enforcement agencies).

Within our company, we ensure that only those persons receive your data who need it to fulfill contractual and legal obligations.

In many cases, service providers support our specialist departments in fulfilling their tasks. The necessary data protection contracts have been concluded with all service providers.

Third-country transfer / intention to transfer data to third countries

Secure transmission of your data

The security levels are continuously reviewed in cooperation with security experts and adapted to new security standards.

The exchange of data to and from our website is always encrypted. We offer HTTPS as the transmission protocol for our website, in each case using the current encryption protocols (SSL). In addition, we offer our users content encryption as part of the contact forms and for applications. The decryption of this data is only possible for us. In addition, there is the option of using alternative communication channels (e:b: the postal service).

Categories, sources and origin of data

Which data we process is determined by the respective context: this depends on whether, for example, you place an order online or enter an inquiry in our contact form, whether you send us an application or submit a complaint.

When you visit our website, we collect and process the following data:

  • Web browser and operating system used
  • IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider
    Files requested, amount of data transferred, downloads/file exports
  • Information about the web pages that you call up from us, including date and time

For reasons of technical security (in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server), this data is stored in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. F EU-DS-GVO. After 7 days at the latest, anonymization takes place by shortening the IP address so that no reference to the user is made.

Links Social Media

On our website you will find links to the social media services of Facebook and LinkedIn. You can recognize links to the websites of the social media services by the respective company logo. If you follow these links, you will reach SONIMA GmbH’s corporate presence on the respective social media service. When you click on a link to a social media service, a connection is established to the servers of the social media service. This transmits to the servers of the social media service that you have visited our website. In addition, further data is transmitted to the provider of the social media service. These are, for example:

  • Address of the website on which the activated link is located
  • Date and time when the website was called up or the link was activated
  • Information about the browser and operating system used

Links to other providers

Our website also contains – clearly recognizable – links to the websites of other companies. Insofar as links to websites of other providers are present, we have no influence on their contents. Therefore, no guarantee or liability can be assumed for these contents. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of these pages.

The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations and recognizable infringements at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not recognizable at the time of linking. However, a permanent control of the contents of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of a violation of the law. There is a contact form on our website that can be used to contact us electronically. If you write to us via the contact form,

we process the data you provide in the contact form for the purpose of contacting you and answering your questions and requests.

Here, the principle of data economy and data avoidance is observed, in that you only have to provide the data that we absolutely need from you to contact you. These are your e-mail address, your name, and the message field itself. In addition, your IP address is processed for technical necessity as well as for legal protection. All other data are voluntary fields and can be entered optionally (e.g. to answer your questions more individually).

If you contact us by e-mail, we will process the personal data provided in the e-mail solely for the purpose of processing your request. If you do not use the forms offered to contact us, no further data collection will take place.

Registration / customer account (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b EU-DS-GVO).

On our website, we offer users the opportunity to register by providing personal data. The advantage is that you can view in particular the history of customer products.

Registration takes place at the request of the customer. Independent registration is not possible.

The principle of data economy and data avoidance is observed, as only the data required for registration (e-mail address and password) is stored.

Please note: Your password will be stored in encrypted form. Employees of our company cannot read this password. Therefore, they cannot give you any information if you have forgotten your password.

In this case, please use the “Forgotten password” function, which will send you an automatically generated new password by e-mail. No employee is authorized to request your password from you by telephone or in writing. Therefore, please never mention your password if you receive such requests.

Once you have completed the registration process, your data is stored with us for use in the protected customer area. As soon as you log on to our website with your e-mail address as your user name and password, this data will be made available for actions you perform on our website.

Registered persons are free to make changes / corrections to the profile data on their own. Changes / corrections can also be made by our customer service, if you contact them. SONIMA GmbH is interested in maintaining the customer relationship with you and in sending you information and offers about our products / services. Therefore, we process your data in order to send you relevant information and offers by e-mail.

If you do not wish this, you can object at any time to the use of your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing; this also applies to profiling, insofar as it is related to direct marketing. If you object, we will no longer process your data for this purpose.

Thank you for your interest in working for SONIMA GmbH. We are aware of the importance of your data and process the personal data you provide in the application form only for the purpose of effective and correct processing of the application procedure and for contacting you as part of the application process. No data will be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Online offers for children

Persons under the age of 16 may not submit personal data to us or provide a declaration of consent without the consent of their legal guardians. We would like to encourage parents and guardians to actively participate in the online activities and interests of their children.

We are present in various “social media” in order to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users registered there and to be able to inform them about our offers there.

We would also like to point out that your data may be processed outside the European Union.

We, as the provider of this information service, do not collect and process any further data from your use of our service.

The processing of users’ personal data is based on our legitimate interests in effective user information and communication with users pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 p.1 lit. f. EU-DS-GVO. Your rights / possibility to object

If you are a member of a social network and do not want the network to collect data about you via our appearance and link it to your stored membership data with the respective network, you must

  • log out of the respective network before visiting our website,
  • delete the cookies stored on your device and
  • close and restart your browser.

After logging in again, however, you will once more be recognizable to the network as a specific user.
